Paul Yokota

Paul Yokota is a Hawai’i based leadership trainer with over 45 years of experience in hospitality, restaurant and guest focused industries ranging from family business to multi-national companies. From day to day operations to the c-suite his keys to success focus on the quality of the customer and team member experiences. 

Born and raised in Hawai’i, he brings a unique perspective on the subtleties and nuances of working in cross-cultural and multigenerational organizations seeking to anchor their long term sustainability in their core values and mission. He also brings his experience working with a range of non-profit organizations in this interconnected island environment. 

Throughout his career he has focused on integrating the variety of talents and experiences of team members throughout organizations towards unified priorities. Prioritizing and understanding the needs of the audience and team while appreciating the individuality of each person is foundational to his approach. 

As a “forever learner,” when he’s not involved in mentoring and executive coaching, Paul enjoys engaging a variety of audiences through performing music at venues throughout Honolulu as well as coaching women high school golfers. 

He is a recipient of the University of Hawai’i’s School of Travel Industry Management Distinguished Alumni award and is a recent inductee into the university’s Shidler School of Business Hall of Honor.
