Vanessa Hagerbaumer is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with over 2,000 hours of experience coaching emerging and senior leaders across tech, creative, and professional services industries. She partners with leaders to strengthen emotional intelligence, clarify values, and shift unhelpful patterns—supporting them to lead with clarity, confidence, and impact.
Drawing on her background in leadership at organizations like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and WeWork, Vanessa brings a sharp understanding of complex team dynamics and high-performance environments. She has led large-scale employee engagement initiatives and coached leaders at companies including Amazon, PWC, Shopify, Etsy, and VMware.
Vanessa’s coaching style is warm, focused, and insight-driven. She is known for building trust quickly and creating a reflective, judgment-free environment where clients can explore mindset shifts, practice new behaviors, and drive toward meaningful, measurable goals. She integrates tools like 360 feedback, EQ-i 2.0, and values-based frameworks to support holistic development.
In addition to her coaching practice, Vanessa serves as Director of Student Experience at Authentic Leadership Advisors Academy, an ICF-accredited coach training program, and is a Mentor Coach and credential assessor. She also co-hosts The Competency Co-Lab, a monthly ICF NYC Chapter learning series supporting coaches in deepening their skills and self-awareness.
Outside of work, Vanessa is a former event strategist turned community-builder and a lifelong lover of great questions. She splits her time between Chapel Hill and Brooklyn.
