Shaun Mayo is a leadership coach with a sharp focus on equipping senior and emerging leaders to strengthen their executive presence, lead with clarity, and build inclusive, high-performing teams. Drawing from nearly two decades of HR leadership experience, Shaun supports clients navigating complex transitions, scaling culture, growing careers, and aligning people strategy to business outcomes.
He has coached and partnered with corporate leaders across industries, including professional sports, retail, tech, and healthcare. Shaun currently serves as the Chief Human Resources Officer for a professional sports organization, where he leads all aspects of human resources, including organizational development. His prior roles at Amazon, Walmart, and Macy’s have honed his ability to support leaders through high-growth, high-pressure environments.
Shaun is an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) credential from HRCI. He has completed executive education at Harvard Business School and Stanford Graduate School of Business and earned a certificate in Executive Compensation from The Wharton School. Shaun holds an MBA from the University of Houston–Clear Lake and a BBA from Texas Southern University. He is also certified in the Birkman Method, ADEPT-15, and Pearson Work Styles assessments.
