Role Benchmark Development

1 min read

Role Benchmarks are developed through a systematic process utilizing proprietary tools that involves the following steps:

Step 1: Discover(Y) #

The BE team conducts Discover(Y) conversations with key contributors in which they assess and evaluate the role, requirements and relevant job descriptions.

Step 2: Identify Key Team Members #

The next step is to identify key team members that are currently good representations of the role.

Step 3: Collect Data #

The identified key team members take the E3 Assessment. This data is used to identify the frequency and range of certain behaviors.

Step 4: Data Analysis & Review #

Our BE Team of clinicians and data analysts review and analyze the data from the E3 Assessments to identify patterns and trends and determine the average or typical range of common behaviors.

Step 5: Create the Benchmark #

Based on the Discover(Y) conversations and data analysis, the BE team utilizes proprietary tools and processes to create an initial Role Benchmark that includes the behavioral scales for the role to use for hiring and employee development. The Role Benchmark shows target ranges of the most important behavioral scales for the role, and is used to project and manage performance.

Step 6: Validate the Benchmark #

The benchmark is validated by comparing it to additional data collected from other key team members across the organization to ensure that it accurately represents the role requirements.
